4-day Bolivia tour: Salar de Uyuni, Eduardo Avaroa lagoons, Sol de Manana geysers & the Butch Cassidy valleys of Tupiza. Book now.
This is Bolivia’s most symbolic tourism route. From the blinding white of the Salar de Uyuni, through the flamingo lagoons of Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve and the Sol de Mañana geyser field, to the dramatic red rock valleys of Tupiza — where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid made their last stand — this four-day journey crosses some of the most visually extraordinary terrain on Earth. The route can be run in either direction: Uyuni to Tupiza, or Tupiza to Uyuni.
Depart Uyuni at 11:00 AM and begin the journey through some of Bolivia’s most iconic landscapes. Visit the Train Graveyard and the village of Colchani before entering the vast expanse of the Salar de Uyuni.
Continue to Isla Incahuasi for a short hike among giant cacti rising from the salt, followed by sunset across the endless white horizon. The journey then continues through the Chiguana Desert and into the southern Altiplano, entering Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve.
End the day at a viewpoint overlooking Laguna Colorada, where pink flamingos contrast with the deep red waters of the lagoon.

Continue through the surreal landscapes of the Dali Desert toward Laguna Verde, located at the foot of Licancabur Volcano, rising to approximately 6,000 meters. After lunch, explore Rock Valley, known for its striking volcanic formations, before visiting additional geysers along the route.

Leave the high-altitude landscapes behind and continue through remote Lipez communities and rugged mountain roads. Along the way, hear the stories surrounding Huaca Huañusca, associated with the final chapter of the Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid legend in Bolivia.
Travel through San Miguel and other remote communities as vicuñas move freely across the Altiplano. The route climbs once again toward 5,000 meters, revealing increasingly dramatic mountain scenery before beginning the long descent toward Tupiza.
